This Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) Awareness training course is designed to provide carers, healthcare professionals, and support staff with the knowledge and skills to understand and support individuals experiencing visual hallucinations associated with sight loss. 

Learners will gain a clear understanding of what Charles Bonnet Syndrome is, how it manifests, and its connection to visual impairment.

  • How visual hallucinations present in individuals with CBS and the impact on daily life.

  • Strategies to provide reassurance, reduce distress, and support individuals experiencing hallucinations.
  • How to recognise when additional intervention or professional support may be required.
  • Effective communication approaches to help individuals understand and manage CBS.
