At Cherry Training, we specialise in complex health and social care training, delivering tailored courses and specialist support services, predominantly in the client’s home. Our goal is to ensure that individuals with specific healthcare needs, as well as their Carers and Personal Assistants (PAs), receive the right training to provide safe and effective support.

How It All Began

Cherry Training Ltd was founded by Anne-Marie and David Mason in 2019, a husband-and-wife duo with a shared passion for making a difference.

Anne-Marie began her career as a Social Worker before establishing Health Your Way, a company dedicated to supporting people in managing their own care through personal health budgets (PHB). In doing so, Anne-Marie frequently had to source high-quality training for individuals and their Carers—something that was often difficult and time-consuming.

Meanwhile, David, with a background in education and property management, was looking for a new challenge. He recognised the growing need for specialist training and in 2019, they decided to join forces, combining their expertise to create Cherry Training.

Growing and Evolving

With David’s experience in business systems, one of the first changes was the introduction of a customer relationship management (CRM) system, which replaced Anne-Marie’s ‘plastic wallets and paper system’ that was no longer fit for purpose! This helped streamline processes, allowing Cherry Training to grow while maintaining a personal and responsive approach.

As the company developed, Anne-Marie and David needed extra pairs of hands to support their clients effectively and decided to expand the team, welcoming dedicated customer service professionals who share their values of care and compassion.

The training offering also broadened, extending beyond complex healthcare training to include transferable skills such as first aid, fire safety, and even defensive driver training for Carers who may be required to drive larger vehicles.

Where We Are Now

In 2022, they made the decision to relocate to Stokesley, North Yorkshire to be closer to family. After initially working from a shared space in Middlesbrough, they moved to our current office, where the team continue to grow and serve clients across the UK.

Today, Cherry Training is proud to provide high-quality, tailored training solutions that truly make a difference. We work with individuals, care providers, NHS and Local Authority Commissioners, ensuring that essential training is accessible and easy to arrange.

We believe training should never be a barrier to delivering great care. That’s why we continue to expand our services, offering a growing range of E-Learning courses, specialist support services and making the most of funding opportunities such as Skills for Care’s Individual Employer Funding. This allows the team to provide more specialist training – often at no cost to eligible clients—helping to ease their stress and improve the support they receive.

At Cherry Training, everything we do is rooted in our commitment to helping others. We are passionate about making training simple, effective, and accessible, so that Carers, Personal Assistants and individuals alike can feel confident and well-equipped in their roles. When people receive the right training, they can provide the best care – and that’s what truly matters to us.
