
Equality Diversity and Inclusion
Course Aims:
This course is designed to increase a learner’s knowledge and understanding in equality, diversity, and inclusion and how it applies to their role in health and social care.
The training is divided into 4 Modules:
- Equality and Diversity Law
- Protected Characteristics
- Discrimination
- Values and Support
As well as learning about the laws that govern and relate to equality and diversity, learners will also have reference and learning of the Code of Practice for Health and Social Care Workers. This is a downloadable resource from the course.
Learners undertaking a level 2 or 3 health and social care diploma may use their certification of this course as recognition of prior learning, helping them to evidence the criteria for their qualification.
Accreditation: This course is CPD certified.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this course learners should know and understand the following:
- Understand the law relating to equality and human rights
- Know the expected standards of your work in relation to equality and diversity
- Know the protected characteristics of equality law
- Work without discrimination against anyone and address discrimination with a positive approach
