Course Description:

This Health and Safety in Care course is designed to provide care workers with essential knowledge and skills to create a safe and secure working environment. • Gain an understanding of key UK legislation, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and other relevant care-specific regulations.
• Learn the stages of a risk assessment, from identifying hazards to implementing controls, and understand their importance in preventing harm.
• Understand the responsibilities of employers, employees, and other stakeholders in maintaining health and safety in care settings.
• Recognise the importance of maintaining security in the workplace, including safeguarding premises, protecting personal belongings, and managing access.
• Learn how to respond to workplace accidents, including reporting procedures, first aid requirements, and post-incident reviews.
