This Palliative and End-of-Life Care training course is designed for carers, healthcare professionals, and support staff to provide compassionate and effective care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses and those approaching the end of life. The course focuses on the principles of palliative and end-of-life care, emphasising holistic support that addresses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Learners will gain a deeper understanding of symptom management, communication techniques, and the importance of dignity and respect in palliative and end-of-life care. The course also highlights the role of carers in supporting individuals and their families during this critical time, ensuring comfort and quality of life.

Topics include:

  • Understand the principles and goals of palliative and end-of-life care

  • Learn strategies for managing pain and other symptoms associated with life-limiting conditions
