Course Description:

This Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention training course is designed for carers, healthcare professionals, educators, and support staff to develop the skills and confidence needed to support individuals at risk of self-harm or suicide. The course focuses on understanding the causes, recognising warning signs, and implementing effective intervention strategies to provide compassionate care and support.

Learners will explore the impact of self-harm and suicidal behaviours on individuals and their families, the importance of communication and empathy, and practical tools for promoting safety and well-being. The course also covers referral pathways, safeguarding responsibilities, and working within a multidisciplinary team.
