Basic Life Support
Course Aims:
This short E-Learning course is designed to give learners an awareness of Basic Life Support practice when an individual is not breathing or responsive, or when they are choking either partially or fully.
This course will cross reference to Standard 12 of the Care Certificate for Basic Life Support for Adults but does not replace First Aid Training. Learners will be trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) but should undertake practical training for CPR to be qualified to carry out this practice, when working as a health and social care professional.
This training applies to all health and social care workers that work in settings such as Care Homes, Hospital Wards, Day Centres, or supporting a child or young person in their own home.
